New Drummist: Frank Nilsson
0Wow, this guy’s got some awesome chops, which he uses for good, rather than evil. The drumming could be described as “ghostly”.
‘nother new drummer – tom cottone
0If I could drum like this, I’d be a happy, happy man. The perfect mix of chops, groove and musicality.
new drummer – ben taylor
0Found this guy when trawling Youtube. Got a nice sound and a nice groove, and some pretty quick <puts on sunglasses> singles.
new drummer: jeremy davis
0This guy’s got a nice groove and some tasty fills and doesn’t take himself too seriously – check out his work:
matt butler is back, and better than ever
0I’ve previously posted about Matt Butler. An Australian drummer who has put up some pretty spectacular drum covers of piano covers – all very meta. He’s back with a new series of videos. In this one, he’s playing to an original piece by a chap called Ronlad Jenkees. As usual, there’s some pretty interesting groove ideas in there.
new drummer: niko
0I ran across this drummer via a video response to another drummer’s post on youtube. There’s a couple of things I like about this guy – he uses a single pedal, and he comes up with some really interesting and unexpected grooves for some pretty well trodden pop songs.

new drummer: klaus tropp
0Been following this guy for a while, well ever since he started posting videos of himself at klaustropp.com. A really nice, tasteful player, with a great groove.
new drummer: brandon davis
0Just ran across this guy playing a cover of kanye west’s track, Monster. He’s got a fantastic groove, and some pretty sweet chops. At times, you worry that he’ll never find his way back to the groove, but he always seems to get there. I like that his gear is a bit of a hotchpotch too.
another drummer: matt butler
0I’ve been watching this guy’s videos for a while now. A very creative drummer with a rather unique, but effective, technique. He has some pretty nice grooves going on, especially when he goes “linear”. It’s also fun trying to work out what tunes he’s playing to.
george lindsay drumming like a boss
1This is another great drummer I’ve found on youtube. A great groove, especially over a song that didn’t originally have a drum track. His drum part fits in as if it was always there.
